Washington Square Shopping Centre, Workington has recently been sold to a private investor for £68 million. The property was previously acquired on behalf of PJKI Ltd, where we procured development funding for the redevelopment of the town centre in partnership with Harrison Developments.

• Located in the principal centre of West Cumbria, Washington Square provided a brand new shopping destination of 280,000sq.ft (26,012sqm.) gross.
• The scheme comprises 57 units anchored by a new 75,000sq.ft (6,967sqm) Debenhams. There are also 430 car parking spaces.
• Other tenants included Vodafone, Next, JJB Sports, New Look, Greggs, Laura Ashley, Home Bargain, Ethel Austin, Clarks, HMV, Thorntons, River Island and Select.
• The scheme presents excellent rental growth prospects and has been instrumental in completely regenerating Workington town centre.
• Riddelltps has been retained as asset managers for the centre.
